Mneme terms

1. Program description

Mneme is a personal assistant you call on the phone at (650) 229-6586, or toll-free at (888) 920-9192, operated by Peter Danenberg. The Mneme text program sends messages, from the Mneme number you called, to people who have opted in: a link to finish setting up, replies to their requests, and reminders and alerts they set up. It sends no marketing.

2. Opt-in

You can opt in two ways, each for the number you give:

• On a call to (650) 229-6586, by saying yes when Mneme asks: “Can I text you a link to finish setting up? It comes from this number, (650) 229-6586, about 1 to 5 texts a day. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime.” This opts in the number you are calling from. A call to (888) 920-9192 works the same way, with that number named instead.
• On the web, by ticking the consent box when you add your number at mneme.bot. It starts unticked, and you can untick it there at any time.

Consent is not a condition of using Mneme. Both paths are shown on the text messages page.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies: about 1-5 messages a day.

4. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. STOP and HELP

Reply STOP to any message to opt out; you will get one message confirming it and no others. Reply HELP for help.
